We are a group of phonetics-phonology enthusiasts interested in building a community of speech-related researchers in India. Our long-term goal is to provide a platform for presentation, discussion, collaboration, and dissemination of the results of these research initiatives. Eventually, we would aim to form a collective of those involved in teaching, learning, and researching any and all areas related to speech sounds and sound systems of the languages spoken in the Indian subcontinent and beyond. To this end, we plan to organise regular activities and events including an annual/bi-annual talk series, workshops and a summer school.
